4 Advantages of Our Custom Alloy Production

Introduction

Aster manufactures alloy compositions, and we offer our vacuum casting expertise to our valued customers in order to produce custom and specialty performance alloys for such industries as semiconductor, metallurgy, and electronics.

The advantages of customization are as follows.

Save Time and Materials

We manufacture a comprehensive catalog of custom alloy materials in numerous forms and compositions. You don’t need to make your own ingredients, keep the residue, and worry about wasting materials, only need to tell us the composition or size, or melting point to get the alloy material you want.

A Team of Material Engineers for 15 Years

  • At Aster, we have a team of skilled alloy melting and powder metallurgy engineers.
  • They are experienced in melting conventional high-temperature alloys, high-entropy alloys, amorphous alloys and so on.
  • After forging, rolling, machining and other processes, the uniformity, crystal density and other technical indicators can meet the customer’s needs.
  • For special ratio alloys and refractory alloys, it is also difficult for these technicians, because powder metallurgy is also their specialty.

Advanced Equipment of Custom Alloy

  • Colleagues in the production department choose different melting equipment according to different quantities and alloy requirements, routinely vacuum arc melting, vacuum induction melting, vacuum suspension melting, electroslag melting, etc.
  • For alloy ingots with weight requirements, such as 50g, 80g, 100g, 200g, non-self-consuming vacuum arc furnace melting is used.
  • Vacuum suspension melting ensures the reduction of impurity contamination of the finished alloy.
  • For special ratio alloys and refractory alloys used in powder metallurgy, we also have vacuum hot press furnaces, hot isostatic press furnaces and cold isostatic press furnaces to ensure that your needs are met.

High Purity Raw Materials

High purity raw materials are the first requirement for the preparation of high quality custom alloys. We use high purity sputtering target materials for alloy preparation. For commonly used low melting point alloys, such as gallium, indium, tin, zinc, indium…, we select 99.99% or higher purity of the metal as raw materials to ensure the overall purity of the alloy after molding.

Conclusion

You may request a quote directly for an alloy. We custom alloys to customer specifications for shape, size, purity, composition in all amounts including bulk quantities.
